...Music can minister to minds diseased,

pluck from the memory a rooted sorrow,

raze out the written troubles of the brain and,

with its sweet oblivious antidote, cleanse the full bosom of all perilous stuff that weighs upon the heart...

~William Shakespear 1564-1616

Sound is Medicine.

A Vibrational Sound Resonance session, often referred to as Sound Healing or a Sound Bath, varies with each practitioner.  The similarities being that all sessions involve the technical application of Vibrational Sound Frequency to, and around, the physical BodyMind through the use of sound tools like:

Planetary Gongs, Drums, Quartz Crystal & Tibetan Singing bowls, Tuning Forks, Chimes, Shruti Boxes, Rattles, the voice and much more.

Vibrational Sound Resonance facilitates the body to shift into a healing state through the Law of Entrainment.  This suggests that organisms synchronize their vibratory state and fluctuating brainwaves by attuning to a stable frequency.  During wakefulness, humans are typically seen to be in active Beta brainwave pattern.  However, during Sound Resonance these brainwaves Entrain into the more restful and meditative Delta, Theta and Alpha waves.

During these three states we tap into our right brain and unconscious memory—bridging the conscious and subconscious for safe trauma and chronic stress processing.  We tap into the creative centers in our brain and facilitate BodyMind coherence by increased HRV (heart rate variability) and nervous system regulation.  The immune system becomes optimized in this deeply regulated state; chronic or acute pain issues lesson drastically and there is a measurable reduction in blood pressure and respiratory rate.

These sessions often elicit an overall sense of calm and ease; clearing out the noise of life's stressors to connect clients back to their internal knowing and authentic Self.

Vibrational Sound Resonance is a very powerful healing modality that requires nothing from the client other than an open and curious heart.  One does not have to be ‘well’ or physically fit—just to be able to either lay down on a yoga mat fully supported with bolsters, pillows and blankets or to be able to lay on a massage table.
