You Probably Have Parasites...

Parasite infections are more common than people or allopathic doctors realize; if you have a pulse, I bet you have parasites.

Why they are such a big problem is that they can trigger so many chronic health issues like digestive problems, chronic fatigue, mental health struggles & skin issues—they also perpetuate terrible complications in illnesses like Lyme disease and coinfections, Autoimmune diseases, heavy metal toxicity and mold illness because they can hold their weight in toxic pathogens, making it hard for the human body to detox.

Parasites are not only found in places that may not have access to clean water or hygienic products, but they are also found in North America; think of your pets, free standing bodies of water, unwashed fruit and veg, sushi, pork, ticks, mosquitos, fleas, human-to-human contact—they are everywhere!  Allopathic medicine simply does not connect the dots to the root cause of your symptoms, which often times can be linked to a parasitic infection that can impact your overall immune functioning.

Parasites are smart.  Their life-goal is to co-exist in your body, undetected by medical testing.  They are just not obvious; their intention is to be hidden so they can happily feed off all the pathogens and sugars you provide them.  For example, liver flukes, are known for causing gallbladder and liver congestion and overall detox impairment.  According to the CDC, an untreated liver fluke infection “may persist for up to 25–30 years, the lifespan of the parasite. In infections that last a long time, an enlarged liver and malnutrition may occur.  In areas where liver flukes are found and a person may have multiple long-standing untreated liver fluke infections, the inflammation of the gallbladder and ducts caused by the parasite has been associated with liver and bile duct cancers.”

The failure of our current medical practices is that attempting to catch a parasitic infection via stool testing and colonoscopies is ineffective for most cases.  However, while both tests could be beneficial, it is not necessary to have a positive parasite stool analysis or colonoscopy to have an active parasitic infection.  Symptomology and a thorough physical history are very important tools in holistically looking at a client’s risk factors.  Yes, parasites are found in your intestines, but did you know they can be found in your bladder, lungs, sinuses, menstrual blood and circulating system?  As well, most parasites are not visible to the naked eye; if you don’t see any in your stool, it does not mean you don't have them.

Parasites are often a missing puzzle piece to solving a person’s chronic illness battle. The symptoms overlap with labeled disorders such as:  anxiety, depression, mood disorders, fibromyalgia or chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, SIBO, gallbladder issues, hypothyroidism, low iron, malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies and much more.

Nearly half of all North Americans suffer from at least one chronic health condition.  That says a lot about our ‘health’ care system and the toxic burden our current environments have on our liver and gallbladder’s overall ability to detox.  Our systems require proactive, daily practices to aid in our overall healing and a parasite protocol, whether there is a known acute infection or as a yearly practice, could speed along your healing journey.

It is important to note that if you have chronic BodyMind health conditions, it is important to work with someone who can safely navigate a protocol to avoid the adverse reactions from die-off & Herx reactions.  A safe protocol is not a one-size fits all boxed product found in a health food store; we are all too biodiverse for those to be safe and effective.
